HOW TO JOIN CIVIL AIR PATROL

Ready to join CAP as an active adult or youth member? Here’s how to get started.

Step 1. Contact the unit at offutt_cap_recruiter@outlook.com at least a few days before your first visit to let us know that you will be coming to a meeting. If you need access to Offutt Air Force Base where the squadron meets, please let us know that at the same time. Please note that without prior coordination, getting on the base is very difficult. Directions to the unit can be found at the directions tab on the left side of this page.

Step 2. All new members to the unit need to come to three meetings so that they can see different types of meetings and ensure they want to join. At your first meeting you will be given an information package that contains an application and other information about the program.

Step 3. At the conclusion of your third meeting turn in your application. Personnel joining as a cadet can now apply online. Click here to submit your cadet application online. Note: Cadets applying to be members still need to attend three meetings before the appication will be approved.
